Want 3 bed semi/end terrace in North Cornwall please to be near relative who needs support. Need to be within an hour of Wadebridge so Wadebridge, Padstow, Camelford, St Minver, Bude, ..
Would like NON ESTATE as ours is just in a quiet cul de sac of 10 homes
Would prefer an open fire or woodburner but not essential as long as your home has a chimney and there are no objections to us making the installation
Must be on a bus route
At least one local shop would be ideal
If you meet the above, then read on .. EXCHANGE OFFERED RURAL GLOS: (nr Cheltenham)
Have lived here 23 years in April and only want to move to be nearer to a relative. Offering a 3 bed end terraced cottage in a picturesque rural village. NON-ESTATE, just a square set back from the through road with 10 houses around a green and parking.
Large (just under an acre) private back garden; established mature shrubs and trees, one raised vegetable bed and plenty of room for more (too much for us) Has shed and Swiss chalet outbuilding.
House has been rewired, had new roof, windows, cavity wall insulation and an external coating which doesn't require painting. Kitchen diner combined, Living room features an economic but cosily efficient log burner which warms right through the downstairs (we prefer it to the heating) and a real wood (not laminate) floor. Windows both ends make the room light and bright. Downstairs lavatory and bathroom is fully tiled and has shower over bath. Upstairs has huge master bedroom again, with a window either end. The airing cupboard is in this room too. The other bedrooms are single.
Pets are allowed; and the dog walking routes around here include an old iron age fort and roman encampment, field after field of space along the Cotswold Way .. woods, hills, streams and valleys. Beautiful countryside.
Our neighbours either side are lovely and friendly but neither nosy or intrusive. Both good gardeners and have allotments. The other neighbours are all friendly and helpful; we have a good community here and will be sorry to leave.
There is a large co-op and a Countrywide Farmers' shop just around the corner, and the village is just 5 minutes' walk away. The primary school is excellent and the secondary has academy status with high OFSTED ratings There is a leisure centre with swimming pool, gym, health spa etc. and there are 2 dentists and a health centre.
Fantastic hourly bus service connecting with Cheltenham or Moreton In Marsh railway stations .. also into Cirencester and Gloucester.(onwards from there)
A great place to raise a young family with lots of activities and attractions.. we have been very happy here .
